We can't wait for the official turning on of the Christmas Lights this year, in late November! Dublin's Christmas Winter Lights are imprinted in people's memory and idea of Christmas shopping in Dublin and this year, thankfully, will be no different.
Dublin City Council have confirmed the return of the much loved lights on the top shopping streets such as Henry Street and Grafton Street as well as the dazzling Dublin Winter Lights across the city centre.
Brought alive with laser light projections and displays you must see Dublin's iconic buildings and landmarks at night. Don't miss Trinity College, the GPO, City Hall, Hugh Lane Gallery and the Mansion House. All are in walking distance of the Castle Hotel Dublin.
Wrap up warm and take a walk or taxi around Dublin to see the various wintery scenes and dazzling colours that will light up O'Connell Street, Custom House, College Green and more. Full list of locations available on dublin.ie.
There will also be a ticketed Winter Light event at Merrion Square Park (From 1st Dec-22nd Dec inclusive). Opening times are 5pm – 9pm (last admissions). There is a €2 euro per adult booking charge. Each adult ticket admits two children. Tickets are limited to a maximum of 4 adult tickets per person.
Relaxed viewing times and tickets will also be available to welcome people who will benefit from a more relaxed environment, including those who identify as neurodiverse. During this slot, no music will be played, people will have more space to move around and there will be a designated sensory unit away from the lights and sounds.
