Seapoint Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Ireland, located in the picturesque village of Monkstown in County Dublin. The beach itself is sandy with rocky areas and rock pool sand stretches for approx.1km, with clear blue waters and stunning views of Dublin Bay.
One of the best things about Seapoint Beach is that it's easily accessible by public transport, with a DART station located just a few minutes' walk away. This makes it a great destination for a day trip from Dublin, as well as a popular spot for locals to relax and enjoy the sea air.
Seapoint Beach is also a great spot for swimming, especially during the summer months when the water is at its warmest. There are designated areas for swimming, which are marked by buoys, and the water quality is regularly monitored to ensure that it's safe for swimmers.
From the beach and you’ll see The Martello tower, one of a series of28towers built between Bray and Balbriggan in 1804–1805to repel a threatened French invasion. This landmark round tower is now used as the HQ for the Genealogy Society of Ireland.
Another popular activity at Seapoint Beach is fishing, with many locals and visitors casting their lines in the hope of catching some of the fish that are abundant in the waters around the beach. The beach is also home to a sailing club, which offers sailing lessons and rentals for those who want to explore the bay.
For those who prefer to stay on land, Seapoint Beach has plenty of space for walking and picnicking. There are also several cafes and restaurants located nearby, where visitors can enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in the stunning views of the beach and the bay.
