Il Divo are a multinational classical crossover vocal group formed by Simon Cowell in 2003. The group originally consisted of Urs Bühler (Switzerland), Carlos Marín (Spain), David Miller (USA), and Sébastien Izambard (France). They blend opera, pop, and classical music, creating a unique sound often called "popera."
Il Divo became famous with their 2004 self-titled debut album, featuring songs like "Regresa a Mí" (a Spanish cover of Toni Braxton's "Un-Break My Heart"). Over the years, they've covered classics like "Hallelujah," "Time to Say Goodbye," and "The Power of Love" in multiple languages.
Sadly, Carlos Marín passed away in 2021, but the group has continued with new members and still tours worldwide. Their music is emotional, grand, and perfect for fans of Andrea Bocelli or Josh Groban.
