Live Connection with New York Returns: Dublin Portal Gets New Hours
The Dublin Portal, a unique public art installation offering a real-time window into New York City, has reopened after a brief closure due to some unruly behaviour. Now, you can experience this digital connection daily from 11am to 9pm.

Located just a short stroll to North Earl Street (5-6 minutes) from the Castle Hotel, the portal beams live footage of the iconic GPO and the Spire, allowing Dubliners to virtually connect with the hustle and bustle of New York. This is a must do in Dublin.

To ensure a smooth experience for all, please refrain from touching or stepping on the portal itself. Dublin City Council has implemented a clever solution to prevent obstructions – if someone steps on the portal and blocks the camera view, the livestream will automatically blur that section.

A Uniting Experience
The Dublin Portal, along with its counterpart in New York, is part of a larger project that aims to bridge the Atlantic through the power of technology and art. The overwhelming majority of visitors have embraced this innovative concept, using the portal to connect with the sights and energy of another vibrant city.

Free.
